I've recently run into the following problem: when saving/copying large documents into a database using a 6.5.3 client from a windows 2003 terminal server session (up to date on microsoft patches & service packs), the operation takes a very LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time, where the operation appears to stall/hang. Windows task manager shows no additional network traffic apart from the traffic for the TS session, the lightning thingie in the lower left corner of the client isn't blinking.
Until I access the same database from my laptop and keep the F9 key pressed, continually refreshing the default view of the database. As long as I'm refreshing the view on my laptop the terminal server session's task manager shows network activity, the lightning thingie starts blinking again etc.
has anyone else seen this behaviour and if so, is there a workaround/fix?
The server is a 4 cpu SUN box with solaris 9, with 3 gb of ram, hardware raid 5 running domino 6.5.4.FP1.
The attached picture shows dips in the network activity from when I released the F9 key on my laptop.
