Yet another weird problem in R8.0.1 a.k.a. beta 5
Tags: Lotus Notes 8.0.1 Bug
I start the full client (which I closed out of normally previously on this computer), and open my mail and end up with this screen:
It doesn't matter if I access the local replica or the one on my server.
When opening the blogsphere db that this site's hosted in I end up with this:
No errors, just a blank page (btw, did you notice the toolbars?)
Sigh... R8 has got great potential but is still WAAAAY too unstable to be inflicted upon normal users.
How about paying as much attention to fixing 'features' as to adding new functionality?

I have not upgraded but it sounds like this might be the issue?

Normally his 'open bookmarks as workspace' mode is not available in the standard client, apparently it only does that when you really don't want it to. I've mentioned this one before in beta 4 (R8.0.0)
Unfortunately I forgot to take a screenshot.
Even more fun, I shut down the client, start it again and guess what?
It shows the empty background then instead of giving me the 'prompt for location' diaglog it dies without warning/error message.
Give me an update NOW! Please? Pretty Please?
As it stands now, based on my personal experience on both my work and personal laptop I will definately not recommend the standard client to any of my customers.
