The ST chat window that refuses to go away

It's been a while since I ran into a new 'feature' in 'Beta 5' (as 8.0.1 is called over in the #notes channel on EFNet (irc)), but here it is.
When trying to close out of a ST chat window the client throws this usefull error message at me:
The chat window disappears to the background but is still listed in the taskmanager.

When trying to close out of a ST chat window the client throws this usefull error message at me:

when I try to restore it to the foreground I get this (with windows Paint program in the background):
In this state it's not possible to close out of the box. switching back and forth between the client and the chat window eventually addes the titlebar with the red square + white cross to close the window (and even then it can take up to 4 tries before it actually closes)
I so hope that 8.0.2 and/or 8.5 is going to rid us of these annoying features - that and the possibility for me to sync my iphone with notes of course
