Toothache sucks

A couple of days ago I started to develop a bit of a toothache of the last molar in my lower left jaw, so yesterday I payed a visit to the dentist who's just down the street from where I live.
Because on an x-ray taken last year it showed that I still had my lower wisdom teeth the dentist made an 'overview' x-ray where the x-ray scanner thingie rotates around your head which resulted in this freaky photo:
After some poking and prodding my dentist decided that most likely the culprit is a wisdom tooth that's grown horizontally which is sitting against the root of the molar next to it. (red circle on the right), and that I needed to make an appointment at the hospital to have it surgically removed.
Initially they told me that the first available date was three weeks from now, so I headed back to the dentist and had her move it forward - I didn't feel like suffering for three weeks, I'm not *that* much of a machochist
Needless to say I can't say I'm looking forward to monday morning but if it takes care of the current pain it'll be worth it
