A team from the University of Oxford outfitted a number of crows with a light weight camera attached to their tail feathers allowing a window on to their lives.

This way they witnessed crows using tools to gather food. Check out the article at the New Scientist

I came across this page, about the rescue operation of a bear that got stuck underneath the Donner Memorial bridge.

The guys did a good job there getting the bear down safely.
