Firebug integrates with Firefox to put a wealth of web development tools at your fingertips while you browse. You can edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page.

Perhaps this will help me to get my site back into a functional state. (perhaps I really should start reading up on stylesheets)

How secure is the new RFID passport?

Tags: Tech
According to this
guardian article, the encryption of the data on the RFID equipped passports is rather trivial.

According to the article successfull attempts at reading the data remotely were made up to 30 cm away.

Could somebody please tell me how this is making the world safer from terrorists?

Integrate your cell phone with your desktop

Tags: Tech

This tool will notify you of incoming calls on your cell phone, mute the volume of iTunes etc, including proximity detection.

So if you're within Bluetooth range of your Mac, and there's an incoming call on your mobile BluePhoneElite will notify you, and mute/lower the volume of iTunes.

Something like that with the ability to use the computer as a speaker phone as well would be nice, especially if available on Linux/Windows (I do not own a Mac).

Not enough diskspace to delete files

Tags: Tech

Windows 2003 Server came up with this helpfull error message today when I was trying to remove a folder that contained about 4GB worth of data:
A picture named M2

To be honest, the folder was located on a different volume that was mounted as a directory in the root of the system drive, which had 2.5 GB free space available.
So as Windows tried to move the files into the recycle bin it ran into this lack of available space.

Pandora might be just what you're looking for.

Enter the name of your favorite artist and you're set.

For the time being it's free but they'll be adding commercials to the free service with  the option to buy a subscription to get rid of the ads.
So far they've provided me with a decent selection of music to listen to and I'm actually considering to buy into it once they start adding commercials to the free service.
